  • Nov. 1:   Daylight Savings Time ends - "fall back".
  • Nov. 2:   Full Moon;  Nov. 16:   New Moon
  • Nov. 7:   Project Feeder Watch starts and extends until April.

  • Nov. 17-18:   Leonid Meteor showers.

  • Feeders get busier as the month progresses.

  • American Goldfinches start arriving, but feed high in Sweet Gums.
  • Number and variety of wintering hummingbirds begin to build in our area.
  • Start looking for Chipping Sparrows this month.
  • Common Loons arrive from the north.
  • Northern Gannets arrive along the SE coast.
  • Fall begins for most migratory waterfowl.
  • The fall migratory population of the Sandhill Crane peaks in mid-November.
